Greenfield Cemetery

Greenfield Cemetery has one hundred and fifty eight acres of green lawns and well maintained memorials in the Town of Hempstead, Long Island, New York. It is a non-sectarian cemetery and its burials are for residents of twenty-two villages and thirty-four unincorporated areas locally. Lined with shade trees and hedges, Greenfield Cemetery gives an eclectic blend of new mausoleums and weathered old monuments.

At S&S Memorial we offer a fine selection of monuments including Granite & Bronze Markers, Upright Monuments, Mausoleums, Statuary & Community Monuments, Family Monuments, Special Shaped Monuments and much more and are known for our excellent etched portraits and scenes. Our monuments come in an assortment of colors ranging from black mist to evergreen.

Greenfield Cemetery has had a few famous interments, including John Montgomery Ward, Hall of Fame MLB player. Alexander Searing, US Congressman, Alfred M Wood, Civil War Union Army Officer; Reverend Timothy Wright; Walter A Latham, professional baseball player; and Victoria R Spivey, "Queen Victoria" the entertainer.

Greenfield Cemetery is located at 650 Nassau Road, Uniondale.

Gates are open from 8:00am to 5:00pm daily. Office hours at Greenfield Cemetery are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:30pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and closed Sundays and holidays.

St. Charles / Resurrection Cemetery

St. Charles/Resurrection Cemetery, Farmingdale, is the largest Catholic Cemetery on Long Island. Located one half mile north of Wellwood Avenue and Southern State Parkway, St. Charles’ beautiful new gateway features a magnificent bronze statue of Christ welcoming all visitors.

Sections of St. Charles Cemetery are devoted to Padre Pio, Mother Teresa, the Blessed Mother, and Saints John and Paul. Each section of St. Charles Cemetery conforms to its own specifications. Most feature upright memorials and family monuments. Slant markers, flush markers, bronze markers as well as mausoleums are allowed in a small number of sections. There is also a new section dedicated to cremains that requires a small cremation marker.

St. Charles Cemetery is open from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. seven days a week.

St. Charles recently opened a beautiful new office. Office hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mon-Fri, Saturday 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Located in the St. Charles office is a private, stained glass chapel where prayer services are held Mon - Sat at 9:30 a.m.

The Bishop celebrates a Memorial Mass in the St. Charles field for all those who have died Memorial Day and All Souls Day.

Queen of All Saints Cemetery

Queen of All Saints Cemetery gates are open for visitation of cemetery grounds from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. seven days a week.

Office hours are open Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The office is closed during some holidays.

Mausoleum buildings and Chapels are open daily from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m... Please note that scheduling is subject to change without warning.

Chapels and Mausoleum buildings are open every day from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m...

Office hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The office is closed most holidays.

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is located one quarter mile south of our Route 112 showroom and is one of the more serene cemeteries on Long Island.

The grounds at Holy Sepulchre are beautifully kept. Flowers are planted near the gates and office year round, enveloping you in a comforting feeling that you chose Holy Sepulchre Cemetery for the final resting place of your loved one.

Each section of the cemetery allows traditional upright monuments and family monuments with one section dedicated to Veterans and an older section which allows bronze markers. It is easily accessible to all who wish to visit and is especially convenient to the Catholics of eastern Suffolk County.

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m including holidays.

Holy Sepulchre’s office hours, however, are from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m Mon - Fri, 9 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Sat. The office is also CLOSED MOST HOLIDAYS.

Memorial Masses are usually held at 9:30 a.m.on the first and third Saturday of each month. These masses take place in the beautiful new chapel located across from the Holy Sepulchre office. This schedule is subject to change. For updated information you may wish to call Holy Sepulchre's office at (631) 732-3460.

The Bishop celebrates a mass for all those who are resting at Holy Sepulchre cemetery on Memorial Day and All Souls Day.

St. Johns Cemetery

St. John Cemetery is an official Roman Catholic burial ground located in Middle Village in the Queens borough of New York City. It is one of nine official Roman Catholic burial grounds in the New York Metropolitan Area. St. John, along with St. Charles/Resurrection Cemeteries in Farmingdale, Long Island, is among the largest cemeteries in New York State. 

Since its opening, St. John has been the resting place of various famous and infamous people in New York society, such as John F. Hylan (1868-1936), mayor of the city of New York from 1918-1925, Geraldine Ferraro (1935-2011), the first female Vice Presidential candidate representing a major American political party, Lucky Luciano (1897-1962), considered the father of modern organized crime in the United States, and John J. Gotti (1940-2002), the head of the New York based Gambino crime family from 1985-2002.

St. John Cemetery is open from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. seven days a week.

Indoor community mausoleum visiting hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

St. John's office hours, however, are from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m Mon - Fri, 9 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Sat. The office is also CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.

New Montefiore Cemetery

New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, is located at 1180 Wellwood Ave, one quarter mile north of Wellwood Avenue and Southern State Parkway

On Sundays, the cemetery provides bus service for visitors from the Pinelawn station stop to the Administration Building at the cemetery. The bus arrives several minutes after each scheduled train arrival from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

The gates and office are closed on Saturdays.

The cemetery office and gates are closed on the first day of all Jewish holidays.

On legal holidays, the gates are open, but the office is closed.

Rural Cemeteries

There are a number of church and rural cemeteries across Long Island. Each has their own requirements for memorials.
